Introduction
Nureab innovates medical rehabilitation robots with the purpose of physical rehabilitation. I designed their mobile app from scratch, ensuring a world-class experience for doctors operating their first-innovation a hand exoskeleton rehabilitation robot. additionally, I crafted their brand for deep customer resonance.

Please don’t consider this case as a full presentation of the work done on the project in the entirety of its details. This is just to give a general look & to serve as a proof of portfolio for the project that I worked on with other team members.
Surveys, Field Studies & User Interviews
To gather valuable insights in to the medical field, We conducted in-depth interviews with top hand rehabilitation therapists. Using a comprehensive survey with 17 qualitative & quantitative questions, we delved into medical expertise, user experience & past experiences with rehabilitation devices. These detailed interviews, lasting up to 90 minutes, were followed by meticulous debriefing, grouping & thorough analysis. The process unveiled significant patterns, providing us with invaluable insights.
Persona Building
User personas in UX serve as detailed, fictional representations of the target audience. The purpose is to create a shared understanding among the design team, ensuring that the end product is tailored to meet the specific requirements and preferences of the intended users. I constructed those personas from real world date that we gathered from surveys & interviews then we got two primary personas & one secondary persona.
User Flows
The purpose of user flows in UX is to visually outline the paths users take within a product or website. It maps the step-by-step journey from entry to completion of a task. User flows created for Nureab was designed with intentions that we are dealing with a sensitive wearable device. This device perform sensitive rehabilitation process that could do damage to the patient’s hand if not handled with care & clear program setting steps.
Iterative Prototyping & Wireframes
Due to the complex nature of the project and that there is three elements to the product one is physical which is the robot itself plus the app that controls & operate the robot in addition to a third element which is the technical medical details I had to go through several iteration & testing cycles for every aspect of the project for example the device wearing process, the device removing process, warnings, micro tutorials, registering the patients, programs settings, etc.
Mobile Application Design
We decided that we are going with a clean & decluttered look that will give the impression of a clean hospital environment helping mentally with giving the impression of simplicity & efficiency with self explanatory user interface elements. I used a color palette designed specifically for the app but with the original company’s brand colors in mind. also we really focused on the mini tutorials & constant feedback with the user in the form of warning, empty & complete status of the application.
Brand Identity
I had the chance to work on the brand identity for the company. The start of the brand identity design process was a session with the stakeholders to capture what is their vision & what do they want to convey to people dealing with the brand. They wanted to give the impression of a high tech robotics company with a touch of humanity & movement this was translated into a brand identity that resonate with the company’s target on a deeper level.
