Competition Analysis

For a UX designer to get a feel of what a targeted user needs, the UX designer needs to understand what are the expectations of the said user. there are many ways to know this but one of the fastest & most efficient ways is doing a competition analysis that studies in detail the competitor’s strong & weak points in addition to opportunities & threats. We did this with Alif & analyzed 4 of its competitors 2 for the website & 2 for the mobile application.

Information Architecture

The purpose of information architecture in UX is to structure and organize information in a clear, intuitive manner, enhancing user understanding and navigation. Regarding the information architecture for Alif stores the challenging part where to design an architecture that would allow both retail users & business users to shop on the website while covering their unique needs in term of resources, needs & unique shopping experience.

User Flows

The purpose of user flows in UX is to visually outline the paths users take within a product or website. It maps the step-by-step journey from entry to completion of a task. User flows created for Alif store users with the intention to minimize the usual frictions that the typical ecommerce website user have to deal with while anticipating unique friction point related to Alif users in specific. Both the regular users & the business users journey.

Project Wireframes

The purpose of wireframes in UX is to provide a visual guide that represents the skeletal structure and layout of a digital product or webpage. Wireframes serve as a blueprint, illustrating the placement of elements, content, and functionalities without the distraction of visual design details. After we got the approval from the client on those after a set of iterations we proceeded to implement the results of all the ux activities into a visual user interface.

Desktop user interface Design

Taking into account the complex branding requirements that was provided by the client we started designing an intuitive user interface that translate the approved wireframes into a fully functionate aesthetically pleasing user interface that takes into accounting the requirement for at least the AA for accessibility design guidelines. After finishing the desktop version we adopted the design into mobile version that translates the experience to mobile users on browsers.

Mobile app user interface Design

After the acceptance of the desktop version of the ecommerce website we started the entire interface design for the mobile application with consideration to both the capabilities & limitations of the famous mobile platforms like apple & android. We redesigned the navigation to better suit the mobile application users in addition to redesigning a whole bunch of features to better suit users on mobile application.
